Direct Care Worker (DCW)

The Direct Care Worker provides hands on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. Staff assists members with daily living skills, personal care, behavioral support, and community integration while promoting independence and dignity.

We focus on:

  • Assist with daily living activities and personal care
  • Support community integration and social engagement
  • Follow Individual Support Plans
  • Document services accurately
  • Maintain safety and supervision
  • Implement behavioral strategies when required
  • Report incidents and concerns promptly

Qualifications & Requirements

We are seeking compassionate, responsible, and dependable professionals who meet the following criteria. All applicants must comply with Arizona DES/DDD standards and company policies.

Basic Eligibility

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Licensing & Background

  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Clean driving record (if transportation is required)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Article 9 and DCW training
  • Prevention and Support

Experience & Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow Individual Support Plans (ISP)
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient demeanor

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to assist with mobility and daily living activities
  • Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs if required
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if needed
